Mombo Nursing Pillow

This post brought to you by Comfort and Harmony. All opinions are 100% mine.

Baby girl is due in July, so I have been really interested in and researching mom centered products lately. Especially products to help the new mom transition into motherhood more conveniently. Enter the brand new mombo nursing pillow from Comfort & Harmony.

Mombo Nursing Pillow Review

Here’s a little video of yours truly giving a quick description of what the Mombo nursing pillow is and how it works. A few notes… I am 30 weeks 4 days expecting in this video. Fun times. ;) You’ll notice we have a cameo appearance from a nosey, little black dog. Thank you Pandy… And you’ll hear a few mumbles from the ‘camera crew’ now and again… i.e. My niece and her little friend were there while my sister in law filmed this for me. :) I’m going to call this video a mom in training success! Not everything worked out perfectly, but we got it done! haha…

So in short, Mombo is a brand new baby nursing pillow  with two unique sides, a firm side for nursing and a soft side for lounging. It also includes a pocket for a small vibrating massager to make baby more comfortable.

Mombo Nursing Pillow Massager

Since I have yet to start nursing (or have my baby for that matter, haha) I shared the Mombo with my friend, Meghan and my baby godson, Reiner. Meg was impressed with the high quality of the Mombo. She has used other nursing pillows since having Reiner and said this was the nicest one she’d seen so far. It’s the only one that includes the battery operated massager that either of us has seen on the market. The cover is made of a super soft fabric making the pillow a cozy spot for little Reiner to kick back and relax.

After trying the Mombo while nursing Meghan also shared that she feels like the firmer nursing side will be much easier for me to use, compared to other nursing pillows, when it’s my turn as a brand new mom because it gives you more support while you’re trying to learn the best way to hold baby.

I personally love the pink cover, it will be perfect for baby girl once she gets here.

So how about you friends? Have you ever heard of or tried the Mombo nursing pillow? You can check out other Mombo products by liking Comfort & Harmony on Facebook or following Comfort & Harmony on Twitter. Mombo products are available for purchase at Babies R Us.

Mikarose Maxi Maternity Review

Hey there friends. Have you heard of Mikarose yet? Surely you have… They are a clothing company that specializes in lovely, modest dresses. If you have heard of them did you know that several of their dresses can double as nursing or maternity dresses!?! They’re not strictly designed for that purpose, but they work wonders doing double duty!

I was recently given the opportunity to review the Makenna Maxi from Mikarose as a maternity dress. The photos shown in this review show me at 30 weeks 4 days expecting.

mikarose maternity dress review

The Makenna Maxi comes in three colors. The teal with white stripes shown in my photos, gray with white stripes and black with white stripes. I had yet to try a maxi dress but after hearing how comfortable they could be I had high expectations. Luckily the Makenna Maxi dress blew those expectations out of the water!

*Please excuse my squinty look here, wanted to show you one picture without the sunglasses, but now you can see why I put them on… haha

mikarose makenna maxi dress

It’s made of a super soft viscose and spandex fabric. Which means it’s soft against your skin, but also stretchy to accommodate that growing baby belly. The detailed band around the waste helps the dress accent that baby belly as well.

mikarose maxi dress review

The sleeves on the Makenna are at a length where my chubbier than normal maternity arms felt modestly covered and comfortable. ;) I’m a taller girl (5’7″) so it doesn’t drag the ground like I assume most maxi dresses are supposed to. Having it catch on my belly made it even shorter, but it wasn’t uncomfortably short. It still fell at a length to feel like a maxi dress.

Overall I am pleased with the Makenna Maxi dress and I’m thrilled to have a fashionable clothing item that I can take from maternity wear to AFTER baby comes! You can find out more about Mikarose here.

So tell me friends, have you jumped on the maxi dress train yet? How do you feel about maxi dresses?

Disclosure: I received the Makenna Maxi dress from Mikarose in exchange for my honest review. As always opinions shared here are 100% my own.

WIWW: Old Navy Women’s Best Tees

Happy Wednesday friends! It’s been awhile since I’ve done a WIWW post… My preggo outfits lately consist of about four different bottoms these days and just various shirts. The bottoms are a pair of jeans, a pair of capris, some bermuda shorts and a pair of shorts. Every once in awhile I might wear a skirt… Rarely though. haha. Since my bottoms are pretty stagnant, it was the perfect time to add some new shirts to the mix to amp up the old wardrobe!

Enter Old Navy Women’s Best Tees! I received a coupon for two free tees for me and two for a friend via Crowdtap. Naturally I shared the other coupon with my sister, Kayli. We even got to shop at Old Navy together this time around while we were in town for the George Strait concert!

There were so many colors and styles to choose from. In the photo below I’m browsing the section of Perfect tees {at 25 weeks preggo in case you were wondering… ;) }. I ended up choosing a blue Perfect Tee and a grey Vintage tee.

OldNavyShoppingKassi

Kayli, shown below browsing the Vintage tee section, chose a Perfect tee and Vintage tee as well.

OldNavyShoppingKayli

All of the best tees are made of the softest fabric. There aren’t any tags in the back, they’re just printed inside underneath the back collar. I don’t know about you, but I hate tags that rub my neck, so this was a HUGE plus!

I got the hubs to take some photos of me wearing my medium grey colored Vintage tee last week. Not sure what smile I’m working with there… haha. But these were when the baby bump was in between 25 and 26 weeks.

Old Navy Best Tees

Then on Sunday I wore my blue (called Royal Rowena on the website) perfect tee to do a family photo shoot. It was the perfect shirt for an afternoon of shooting photos outside… I was comfortable, not too hot, and the shirt, just a size large fits nicely over my baby bump at 26 weeks and a couple days. {If you wanna see a few of the photos I took, check out my FB page here.}

Old Navy Womens Tees

And here’s Kayli in her olive green Vintage tee.

Here she’s wearing her Apple of My Eye red Perfect Crew Tee. Kayli’s thoughts on her new Old Navy tees -> She purchased the v-neck shirt in a smaller size than the perfect tee and decided that was a good call. Both shirts don’t stretch out much like some t-shirts will, so she was impressed with that. Also, she feels like they are nice enough to go out in but comfy enough to play in. :)

Your turn: Did/Do you have a sort of uniform while pregnant? Mine is tees and comfy denim bottoms for the most part…

OH! And while I was browsing the Old Navy website for links to our new shirts I discovered that all of the Old Navy Best Tees are on SALE right now! Wouldn’t want you to miss that! ;)

Woolite Clothing & Accessories Exchange

Hey friends! How’s your week so far?? Today I’m sharing my recent Woolite In Home Clothing & Accessories Exchange Boutique! What a mouth full, right!?! But we had the BEST time! {Please pardon the photo overload!}

Woolite In Home Boutique

First things first, this was a sponsored party via Woolite and Crowdtap. I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again, if you haven’t joined Crowdtap yet, you really should get on that! You’ll have the opportunity to host fun parties, try free products and share your opinion! I received several samples of Woolite’s Everyday Laundry Detergent to share and discuss with my guests. Then I got to plan a fun party around doing so!!!

WooliteSamplesWooliteEveryday

I decided to purchase my own bottle of Woolite Everyday before the party so that I could test the product and then be able to share my own opinion at the party. The verdict? I loved the scent! My clothes came out of the washer smelling fresh and clean, but not overwhelming. I really do think that with continued use my clothes will look better over all.

The party planning started with inviting several friends and family over to my house for a clothing and accessories exchange. I asked everyone to bring 3-5 items to trade and even sent out a few ideas via my Facebook page and through Instagram pics. You can check out the live tweets from before and during the party here. Just look for the hashtags #wooliteers and #woolitewashed.

I went with a sort of bright colors and Spring theme for the party since it was held right before Easter weekend. Treats were centered around bright colors and Easter candy! {Please excuse the bad lighting, it was late evening during the party!}

Spring party

The pink punch was served in mason jars with striped paper straws. To make your own Sparkling Spring Pink Punch combine two, two liter bottles of Strawberry Lemonade and one 20 oz. bottle of club soda. Serve on ice!

Sparkling Spring Punch Recipe

Sweets included chocolate dipped Peeps on skewers, Jolly Rancher Jelly Beans {my favorite!!!} and chocolate dipped pretzels with pink sugar sprinkles!

Easter Party Treats

To offset so many sweets I also served a fruit tray and this easy two ingredient fruit dip. {It’s a party staple in my house!} And I made up my own version of the tortilla pin wheels! To make your own you’ll need:

  • 5 or so large flour tortillas
  • 2 8 oz. packages of cream cheese (room temperature for easier mixing!!)
  • A small can of chopped black olives
  • A small can of chopped green chiles (or use fresh like I did and just peel and chop about two large chiles)
  • 1 package of ranch dressing mix

Mix all the ingredients together in a large mixing bowl or electric mixer, then spread on your tortillas. Roll tortillas up, wrap in plastic wrap and store in the freezer for at least 30 minutes. Cut into thin slices and serve!

party treat ideas

Once my guests arrived we enjoyed some treats, visited and talked about the Woolite Everyday Laundry Detergent samples.

Woolite Washed Party

Woolite Washed Party

I decorated the boutique area with a bright striped table cloth and bright colored bags for guests to take home their goodies. I stuck a ‘Thanks for Swapping‘ message on each bag.

clothing exchange shopping bags

After treats it was time to swap!!! The table was covered with cute tops, jewelry, scarves, dresses, shoes and more! I made paper numbers and had each guest draw a number. Number one got to choose one item of clothing, then number two took her turn and so on.

wooliteinhomeboutique

Oh, and just in case you were starting to wonder if I was even there… haha. I took a turn shopping as well! I even found a few really cute items to wear with my preggo belly for the next couple of months!!!

By the time all of the items were gone from the table everyone had several new to them items to take home!

Thanks to Woolite and Crowdtap for sponsoring this fun party! As always opinions expressed on Truly Lovely are 100% my own thoughts!!!

Red Letter Paper Co. Christian Greeting Cards

Happy Monday pretties!!! Since we have a VERY important birthday coming up tomorrow, Miss Kayli’s of course, today seems like the perfect time to introduce you to a fun greeting card company!

Red Letter Paper Co. is, and I’ll paraphrase, Christian cards with a modern edge. The designer, Stephanie, is based out of Santa Fe, NM – hello fellow New Mexican!!! Me in the former, her now. ;) She creates cards with a Christian message that aren’t well…. lame. Her cards are fun and unique, the perfect combination!

Take for example the two cards I chose… A birthday card for my dad and a just because card to send to a friend.

Christian Greeting Card Company

Each card has a scripture on the back, the birthday card showcases Psalm 40:4 while the iPhone card has Isaiah 6:8. A great way to include a little Christian touch without being completely in your face. Love that!

Both cards are printed on quality card stock paper with crisp, clear print. This fun, ‘not sent from my iPhone’ card is one of my favorites from her shop! Isn’t that the point of sending a greeting card!?! Everyone I know loves to receive snail mail now and again, so why not say hello with a REAL card as opposed to a text message!?! :)

unique greeting card

The father birthday card is perfect for my dad. His birthday is a week after Kayli’s and now we have a card we can give him together. A Dad and his two girls on the front is a unique way to say Happy Birthday to our pops!

Both cards are blank on the inside with plenty of room to write whatever message we’d like to share.

So, how about indulging in one of Kayli’s most favorite things this week in honor of her birthday?? Write a actual message on an actual greeting card and stick it in the mail! :) Check out Red Letter Paper Co. for some fun cards to get you started!

Disclosure: I received two cards from Red Letter Paper Co. in exchange for my honest review. As always opinions shared here are 100% my own!

UncommonGoods: Unique Gift Ideas

Hello there dolls! I have a fun new website to share with you today! Have you ever heard of UncommonGoods?

I recently had the opportunity to review two products from their unique selection of gifts for men, women and children! The site is literally overflowing with all kinds of fun gift ideas together all in one place, gifts that you’d be hard pressed to purchase together at any other location!! I pondered the site for a really long time trying to decide what to choose! For example they have tons of sweet surprises for little ones even grouped by age! You can see the options for children 0-3 years old here.

I finally decided on the ‘A Year of Gratitude’ kit and the ‘Cake Pops’ kit for my two products.

My package arrived just a few days from the time I placed my order. Both products were securely wrapped and well packaged, peace of mind coming from a site where you might order a delicate or breakable item!

The A Year of Gratitude kit includes 52 thank you cards with envelopes, one for each week of the year, tips on writing a good thank you letter and a journal to record all the little things you’re thankful for.

Everything comes packaged neatly in a nice keepsake box. The thank you notes and envelopes really are classy, not some cheap, poorly printed papers. The journal so far has been a real asset in helping me remember to be thankful for even the little day to day things. And come on, who doesn’t love to receive a little snail mail once in awhile!?! Sending out the thank you notes has been and will continue to be a treat for me and my recipients!

You’ve heard of Bakerella, right!?! The Cake Pops kit was developed by the cake pops queen herself!

It includes a cake pops stand, shown above on the far right, enough bags, pop sticks, ribbon and tags to make 48 cake pops and a cake pop instruction booklet. The booklet includes ten fun cake pop how to designs, everything from basic cake balls to intricate rubber duckies! With all of the big events I have coming up, everything from baby showers to weddings I can’t wait to try out all of the cake pop designs!

Either of these items, the gratitude kit or the cake pops kit would make a fun gift for a lovely lady in your life! You can find other unique gifts for women on this page.

Your turn: What is the most unique gift you’ve ever received?

Disclosure: I received the two products mentioned from UncommonGoods in exchange for my honest review. As always opinions shared are 100% my own!

A Dainty Silver Valentine

Hi there dolls. How was your weekend?? Mine was smashing thanks to The Color Run (a recap will be coming soon!!!) and a pretty little piece I’ve been wearing a lot lately. Well, make that two pieces actually. A beautiful, dainty, silver charm necklace and bracelet set from Allena Mistral.
Speaking of The Color Run, Alli of Allena Mistral was at the same race we were this weekend… We just ran at different times, so I didn’t get to meet her!!! Next time we’ll plan better!!! ;)

Allena Mistral

Both Allena Mistral pieces scream pretty! The necklace I chose is her Custom Sterling Initial Necklace with a tiny white pearl charm. The bracelet matches it perfectly. Alli, the owner and designer at Allena Mistral is a complete rock star. She was even sweet enough to put TWO initials on each, one for me and one for my hubs. You can see it reads ‘KN’ for Kassi and Nate, of course.
{Please disregard the coloring in the photo below. They’re both completely silver. The weird color is thanks to an Instagram edit.}

The necklace comes on a dainty silver chain while the bracelet is a a few chains thick to make it a little sturdier. Both wear well and I have received so many compliments on each.

You can absolutely have your necklace personalized with just one initial if you prefer and the stone choices are customizable as well. I got a necklace from Allena Mistral for my sister, Kayli, with a K and a blue crystal charm for her birthstone.

If your looking for a sweet Valentine for a friend or loved one an Allena Mistral piece would be just the thing! They’re so lovely and personal that any girl would love one. I love mine and Kayli loves hers!!! Right now, Truly Lovely readers can take 15% off their Allena Mistral purchase with the code LOVELY15 at checkout!!! ;) So be sure to take advantage and get some pretties for yourself or your loved ones!!!

So tell me dolls… What have you asked for this Valentine’s Day? Do you give your other half a wish list or just hope for the best?? ;)

Disclosure: I received an Allena Mistral necklace in exchange for my review of the product. As always opinions shared here are 100% my own!

ConsumerCrafts.com

Hey there lovelies! Where do you order your craft supplies? In the past I have ordered craft supplies from several online craft ‘stores’, but as of late I am really impressed with Consumer Crafts.com.

I recently placed my first order on their website and found their selection of craft supplies to be a great variety. The products are organized well into specific crafting categories so it was easy to find and shop for the items on my list. They’re having a Back to Basics promo during these last two weeks of January and I was able to stock up on some of the craft supplies I use most often at a really great price!

In the two screen shots below (and the image up above) you can see the craft items I purchased. Everything from Wilton icing coloring to Mod Podge Dimensional Magic!

You can also see the awesome discounts I received through their site. I saved a total of $8.37 on just these items!

The site allows you to register or check out as a guest. I chose to register so that next time I’m ready to order my shipping address and other pertinent information is already ready to go! They even shoot you a quick ‘thanks for registering’ email so that you can save your information.

I am really excited to get the products I ordered. A few that I am really looking forward to include the doilies. They come in a package of twelve. I have a throw pillow project in mind for those that I’ve had pinned for months!

I’m also looking forward to trying the Goo Gone… have you ever tried it?? I’ve heard it works wonders!

You can find fun craft ideas by following ConsumerCrafts on Pinterest or if you Like Consumer Crafts on Facebook.  Also, don’t forget to get in on the Consumer Crafts Back to Basics sale and be sure to check out their Buy More Save More Promotion too!

WIWW: No nonsense Tights and Leggings

This post brought to you by No nonsense. All opinions are 100% mine.

Hey there lovelies, time for another What I Wore Wednesday! This week’s clothing item of choice… Tights and leggings! Specifically No nonsense tights and leggings!

I actually shared a photo on Instagram of me wearing leggings the other day because honestly… I’m NOT a leggings wearing kind of girl. I didn’t own a single pear of leggings until this lovely pair of black corduroy No nonsense leggings.

black tights outfit

I was quite impressed to say the least. This one pair of leggings completely changed the look of this outfit. I normally wear that brown top with jeans but I think it’s meant to be worn with leggings… It’s just too long to look completely right with jeans. The leggings were SO comfortable. They were thick and warm for this cool winter weather we’ve been having… Needless to say turns out maybe I am a leggings wearing kind of girl! Who’d have thought!?!

Then take these brown No nonsense tights. I don’t wear dresses very often normally, but especially during the winter months. It’s just too cold. BUT with these tights I can wear dresses all year long if I want to.

No nonsense tights outfit

So basically what it comes down to is that I received a pair of leggings and a pair of tights. Only two items. BUT those two items have insanely expanded my normal wardrobe!!! Nice, right?!

No nonsense tights and leggings can both be found at food and drug stores or even at your nearest mass outlet retailer. You know what that means for you?! For a crazy afforable price you can easily find and purchase tights and leggings to help YOU expand your wardrobe!

To find more fun outfit ideas incorporating No nonsense leggings and tights be sure to like No nonsense on Facebook and follow them on Twitter. Or… You’ve heard of Jill Martin, yes?! She’s the author of the New York Times best selling guide, “I Have Nothing To Wear” and a correspondant for Access Hollywood. Well, she’s teaming up with No nonsense to help women, especially like me (the no leggings/tights wearing kind) ;) , figure out how to wear colorful tights and leggings with style! For more information be sure to watch this short video.

Happy shopping lovelies!!

Date Night Ideas and a Giveaway!

Valentine’s Day is only a month away! It seems like we just wrapped up Christmas but we’re already on to the next holiday! I do enjoy Valentine’s Day though… Sharing a little something with those I love is always a highlight.

This year I’m already ready with one of the hubs’ gifts! A custom date night love coupon book from Datevitation. {Don’t worry, he doesn’t read the blog unless I ask him to, so this won’t be a spoiler!}

Datevitation is such a fun idea! They are the first online platform where you can create a custom love coupon book for your significant other or even for a friend! There are over 200 unique date ideas to choose from, everything from a little something naughty for the husband to a little something fun for a girls’ night out idea.

Each coupon book comes packaged in a fun ready to gift box. There are over 60 book cover options to choose from with various holiday and other special occasion options. You can see I chose a Valentine’s Day cover with wedding rings for my hubs in the photo above.

Inside each cover is a page that you can customize with a note completely written by you, a simple To: From: message, or they even offer some really cute poems and prompts to get you started. I chose the To: From: option so I have space to hand write a love note myself. ;)

With over 200 fun dates to choose from it took me awhile to narrow it down to just five… But I think I chose a few that the hubs will especially love… Things like going out for a steak at a nice steakhouse. How convenient that they even provide a space to write down the date the coupon was used, right!?!

Or a movie of his choice at the theater. Just saying, I seriously doubt he chooses a chick flick… ;) But that’s completely ok!

I was really impressed with the layout of the Datevitation website. They set it up so you customize each feature of the book as you go along. Then they provide you a complete preview before placing your order. I was also impressed with the shipping! My love coupon book arrived in my mailbox in just a few short days! Perfect!

Today one lucky Truly Lovely reader has the chance to win their very own customized Datevitation coupon book!!! Enter to win using the Rafflecopter form below. The winner will be drawn and announced on Wednesday, January 23rd. This giveaway is only open to U.S. residents or those that can have their book shipped to a U.S. address.

a Rafflecopter giveaway
