Fancy This Fridays #182 and Features

Good morning, everyone! It’s Kayli! Sorry for this late appearance. My summer semester ended yesterday so to celebrate the REAL start of summer break I may or may not have been sleeping in….. heavy on the may. ;)

In case you missed it, this is Twenty Wishes week!!! Tuesday I shared my progress, and Wednesday was the link up to share yours! It’s still open to anyone who might like to join! Just for sharing your list you can be entered to win a FREE ad space from our girl Chrissy at The Brave Wanderer! Speaking of giveaways we’re a part of the All American Half Bathroom Giveaway, so click over and get in on all of that. :) In the meantime, let’s get to features!

You know how the 4th comes around and all of the sudden you have a social life and you’re expected to have a salad and dessert for every event you go to? (Potlucks=social life. There’s food and there’s usually a lot of people. That’s legit.) It’s usually the same old stuff, right? Well Ann from A Girl in Paradise has a Tortellini Pasta Salad Recipe that is NOT the same old stuff. Artichokes and Dijon mustard are involved people. Dijon. It looks awesome and it’s sure to wow everyone who gets a spoonful. (Or two…. or six.)

Next up is a super fun craft! Bekki from Domestic Mommyhood shares a tutorial for how to Make Your Own Fortune Cookies Out of Paper. These would be perfect for little gifts, or for sharing love notes, or for events like girls camp with handouts…. They’re really fun. And seriously, just look at them. Totes adorbs. Supes Cute…… K, I’m done. ;)

And our third and final feature for the week is a DIY Olive Oil Sugar Scrub from Living Frugal with Erika. It’s summer y’all. That means shorts and higher sleeves and sandals. Which means those legs you haven’t shaved in 5 months are about to be on display. Yikes. This is the perfect solution for pretty summer skin! And it’s easy and would make a super quick but completely useful and fun gift!!!

Fancy This Fridays #141 and Features

Happy Friday friends!!! Kassi here this week! Things have been crazy busy around here lately, thus the lack of regular posting. Kayli started school again yesterday. I’m hosting a bridal shower for one of my best friends tomorrow. Lots of crafting has been going on for that! So instead of sharing what we’ve been writing this week, we want to see what you’ve been up to!!!

Here are the features from Fancy This 140!

First up, I am really digging these Pom Pom Pens from Katie at The Crafty Blog Stalker! They’re colorful and fun, plus they use up your fabric AND washi tape stash!! Win-win!!

Next, Debbie of Simple Joys of Home shares with us how to test an egg for freshness. I knew there were ways to do it, but have never really tried… Now I know! haha.

And to round out this week’s features, remember these fun bottle pendant necklaces from your teen/childhood years? I always loved these. Well, Artsy VaVa and her daughter, Carrie, created a Fairy Dust Bottle Pendant. So cute, right!? And a fun project to do with your kiddos!

Fancy This Fridays #140 and Features

Hey everyone! It’s Kayli- back for another week of Fancy This! It’s almost time to head back to school so we’re soaking up what’s left of summer and I’m trying to get every last bit of fun in that I can :) In the meantime- I get to party with all of you! #luckygirl So let’s get started!

First up is Paula from Beauty Through Imperfection with 5 smart ways to resist sugar cravings. Guys, this is awesome. I love sugar all year but we all know that Fall makes things a little trickier with all of the cookies and the caramel apples and the candy corn… real talk. It’s an issue. But these suggestions are great!

5ways-to-resist-sugar-cravings

Along those same lines, Marci from Stone Cottage shared a fun idea for a Snack Craft. Portion control! ha! I love it- and they’re super cute. Way more fun and much healthier than sticking your arm in the box and grabbing handfuls. #guilty

And finally, a cute Pincushion from Danielle at Peanut Life Adventures. I’ve been using my sewing machine A LOT lately and this easy access cushion would be great to have! Cute and functional- my kind of project. (:

And there you have it! We hope you lovely ladies will grab and share a button.

Fancy This Fridays 125 and Features!

Hey there Friday!! So nice to see you! ;) In case you missed it, this week I shared a vent or two about pregnancy and a fun mocktail party that I hosted as a DOT Girls member of Crowdtap.

Last week we had all kinds of fun link ups. Here are the features from Fancy This 124….

First up we have a list of 5 Things I’ll Never Buy Again from Danielle of Snippets of Inspiration. They include things like homemade salsa, cream of soup replacement, etc. Each is linked to her recipe for making it yourself. This could be a huge money saver!!!

5-things-i-will-never-buy-again-450x450

Sticking with the list theme for our second feature, Gaye of Calm Healthy Sexy shared her list of 16 Fun and Healthy Date Ideas. Now who doesn’t need a new date idea once in awhile!?!

DateIdeas

And certainly not least on the list is our final feature of the week… I’m sharing this one for two reasons. First it is the cutest Little Girls’ Room design, and second Sarah of A Little of This, A Little of That had an idea of what she wanted for her girls room, but wasn’t sure how to go about making it happen. So she enlisted the help of a design team and got exactly what she wanted. I think in some cases we try to DIY everything as bloggers, which is great, but sometimes it doesn’t turn out exactly like we hoped… In other words, it’s totally ok to ask for help from a professional once in awhile!!!

Hello Hello from Kayli! (:

I always love doing features. There are so many good ideas and projects. I could choose any of your links and not go wrong. But I’m feeling somewhat of a theme today, Spring has sprung! I always feel motivated and ready to cook and plant things and pretty up the yard and house and brighten things. So these are my choices!

First up is this super cute and super easy Easy Fabric Wreath from AliLilly. Homies, I’m a sucker for lady bugs and this speaks right to my heart. I’d love for this to meet me at my front door everyday. I love it!

Next up is something that will make you drool.  Kayla at Kayla’s Creations shows us how to make  Juicy Croissant Burgers. Mmmmm. That’s really all I can say about it. There are no words to describe how badly I wish that was sitting on my table right now.

And finally, a gorgeous Rag Quilt from over at Sew Fantastic. I love quilts, I love sewing. But I’ve been terrified of sewing a quilt. ha! But this makes it seem a million times less intimidating. And look at how pretty it is! Maybe I’ll make one this summer. (:

So there they are! Here’s a button for you pretty ladies! Happy Monday!
