Interchangeable Necklaces Styled by Tori Spelling

*Disclosure: This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Styled by Tori Spelling and Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft stores for a campaign via Blueprint Social. As always opinions shared here are 100% my own!

Every woman and young lady that I know loves jewelry… The more pretty baubles you have to choose from when getting dressed for work, a night on the town, or just every day the better!!! Am I right!?! That’s why I am in LOVE with all the pretty new Styled by Tori Jewelry pieces now available at Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores!

You might’ve seen the Styled by Tori pieces that were available before but now there are even MORE fun colors and ways to mix and match pieces to create your own unique looks! Just check out all the blingy goodness I received in my Blueprint Social sampling box!!! And that’s only a small snippet of the awesome-ness that is now available!!!

One of my favorite features of this jewelry line is that they are made to be interchangeable. You can purchase just a few key pieces and create several different looks! For example with just four pieces from the Styled by Tory Spelling Noir collection I was able to create two very different interchangeable necklaces!

Step 1: Gather your necklaces pieces. Mine included two necklace bottoms, one necklace top and a set of connectors.

Styled by Tori Spelling necklaces

Step 2: Connect the first necklace bottom to the necklace top using the two connectors. You can see in the photo below, it’s SO easy to do. Simply open the connector and slip the two ends inside. That’s it!

Styled by Tori Spelling necklace

Viola! There’s your first necklace! The necklace bottom shown here is the Five Stone Bib bottom in the Smoke color.

Step 3: Create a completely different look by replacing the first necklace bottom with the second necklace bottom. Simply change it out at the connectors, leaving the connectors attached to the necklace top.

And boom! There’s your second necklace! The necklace bottom shown here is the Leaf and Rhinestone Tri-Color Necklace Botto.

Western Frame Earring Display

Hi there lovelies!

Today I’m so excited to share my Western Frame Earring Display with you!!!

jewelry organization

So, a couple weeks back I won a frame from Cut it Out frames via Craftionary.
I chose the Chandler 8×10 frame.

First, I painted a few of the edges in a denim blue color (using paint from a paint sample!). I only painted the edges I planned to sand, cutting down on my paint use and painting time!

blue frame edges

Once the edges were completely dry, I sprayed the entire frame in Leather Brown by Krylon. Again, let that dry completely, then I lightly sanded the edges to bring the blue through the brown.

Next, as you can see in the photo below, I measured out where I wanted my nails to go and marked the spots with a pencil point. I used horseshoe nails as my “pegs” for a more western look. Then, I carefully hammered six nails into the frame, three on each side.
Because the Cut it Out frames are made of solid wood, I was pleasantly surprised that the frame didn’t split with the nails! A normal frame might not have worked… just FYI.

jewelry frame

I used a thin jewelry wire that I already had on hand and stretched it between two of the horseshoe nails. I just wrapped the wire around the heads of the nails and stretched it to the other side.
I printed a photo of myself and my husband from our engagement photo shoot for the background and put it in the frame.

making an earring frame display

You can see the mess my dangly earrings were in… This earring display was much needed!!!!

All the dangly earrings from my overflowing jewelry box were hung on the wire of the earring display frame.
I hung it on the wall in our bedroom to the right of my dresser. Now I can see all of my earrings and easily choose a set to wear when I get ready each morning!

displaying your earrings on the wall

Any guesses on how much this project cost me???

Since I won the frame and had everything else on hand, this pretty was completely FREE!!! Whoot!!!

 Happy crafting lovelies!!!

Linking this here and here and to these.

P.S. Hope you enjoyed this post! If so, we’d love if you’d follow along!

Sponsor Spotlight – Nadir of Stitch Sense Design

Happy Saturday friends!!!
Today we have a lovely spotlight post for you dolls from our girl,

Nadir of Stitch Sense Design!

Here’s Nadir….

Hey everyone!
I’m SO excited to be back with Truly Lovely as a May Sponsor!
In honor of the month of May being all about our mamas I wanted to share a little about my mama & I. 🙂

My mom has always been a firm but loving confidant in my life. She had a hard job raising 3 girls on her own but she couldn’t have done a better job in my humble opinion. 🙂 Although we butt heads at times (more so when I was a teen!) I’ve always looked to my mama for sound advice & wisdom. She’s most definitely one of my heroes & I look up to her so much & am so thrilled to be able to have such a close relationship with her now.

Here is one of my favorite pics of us from when I was young…. (on the left above)

And one of mom & I on the most special day of my life….

I hope you stop my Etsy shop or blog sometime to view some of my everyday happenings & newbie listings in the shop like these beauties….

Bloggie Bestie Blog Swap with Megan of Absolute Mommy

Hello lovelies! We’d like to introduce you to a brand new Bloggie Bestie today!

Megan of Absolute Mommy!

She’s also a small ad sponsor of Truly Lovely this month, so it would be great if you’d click over and get to know her! 🙂 She has a fun tutorial to share today!!! I’m over at her place as we speak sharing my Week Seven in Kayli’s Ten Weeks of Thanks series! 🙂 Hope you’ll pop over and check it out!

Here’s Megan!!

Hi I’m Megan otherwise known as Absolute Mommy.  I like to blog about everything.  Nothing is off limits.  So you will find some mama stuff, some life stuff, some possible fashion stuff, and some crafty business.  If you get the chance visit me some time.  I’d love to meet you.
Today I’m here with some crafty business.  Let me start by saying, I am not a good tutorial person.  I hate taking pictures.  Scratch that, I think my camera hates me… Also I’m a fly by the seat of my pants crafter.  I love to craft, but have more fails than I would like to admit.  Thanks to Pinterest, I have board and likes filled with crafts I dream about.  I also have a stock pile of crafting supplies that just sit in no mans land.  Yep, I’m a craft supply hoarder!  So now a days, when I see something on Pinterest, I challenge myself to make it with stuff I already have.
Let me introduce you to these lovely bracelets:

Pinned Image
Pinterest/Hellojenny/the pin market
Can be found at HenryHappened

Aren’t they the cutest?  Well I was bound and determined to make these, but knew if I went to Michael’s to get the cord required, I’d spend a million dollars on other crafting supplies that would go to the craft supply cemetery… See where this is going?  So I challenged myself to use what I already had.  Like embroidery floss, chillin’ all by it’s lonesome thanks to an abandoned embroidery project.

Here is what I came up with… Not as cute as the originals, but I like them…

Old Tshirt cut into strips
Embroidery floss/yarn/cord/ribbon
whatever you have will work like a charm
Glue Gun
Xtra Large safety pin
To get started cut your tshirt strips into 12-14″ long strips.
You will need three.
Then repeat that process with the embroidery floss.
You will also need three.
Line your pieces up, and use a scrap to tie the top.
You will be braiding these,
each tshirt strip will be paired with a piece of embroidery floss.

It should start to look like this.
You may need to realign your floss with your shirt scrap.
It helps with the braided effect.

Once braided they should look like this.

Cut your ends, so that it looks like a little knot.

Then using another small scrap,
lay the ends together.
Make sure this bracelet fits to your liking first.
Then take your trusty glue gun,
and glue the ends together.
Next wrap the scrap over the ends to finish them off.

Once wrapped, add more glue, and fold over.
Cut any excess fabric.

And that’s it.
A nice and easy t-shirt bracelet that will take you all of 10 minutes.
Seriously, they were that easy.
This would be a great project for tweens at a slumber party.
Well, the tween in me thinks so!
Thanks to Kassi for having me over today!  If you are missing her something awful, go check her out at my bloggy.  We are swapping spots today!!

Thanks SO much to Megan for swapping with me today! And being this week’s Bloggie Bestie!
Hope you lovelies have a nice Thursday!!! Oh, and enter our April Group Giveaway here! 😉
